Refund policy

Online School India (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to transparency in its terms and conditions. This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer,” “you” or “your”) and Online School India regarding the purchase of any goods (“Products”) from our website.

By placing an order for any Product with us, you expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by each and every provision of this Policy in its entirety. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you must not proceed with your purchase.


1. DEFINITIONS & INTERPRETATION

1.1 “Business Day” means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday in the Republic of India.
1.2 “Cancellation” means the termination of an order after placement but prior to dispatch.
1.3 “Claim” means any request by you for return, refund, exchange, credit, or other remedy.
1.4 “Consumer Protection Laws” refers to all laws, statutes, regulations, and codes relating to consumer rights and unfair commercial practices.
1.5 “Defect” means a material fault, flaw or imperfection in the Products which renders them unusable for their intended purpose.
1.6 “Dispute” means any controversy, claim, or question arising out of or relating to this Policy.
1.7 “Force Majeure Event” has the meaning given in Section 12.
1.8 “Order” means any purchase order submitted by you and accepted by us.
1.9 “Return” means sending Products back to us for inspection under the terms of this Policy.
1.10 “Refund” means reversal of payment or issuance of store credit at our sole discretion.
1.11 “Severable” has the meaning given in Section 15.
1.12 “Territory” means the geographic region to which Products are shipped.
1.13 References to Sections are to sections of this Policy unless otherwise specified.


2. SCOPE & APPLICATION

2.1 This Policy applies to all Orders placed through our official website and any affiliated online platforms.
2.2 It shall not apply to any third-party goods sold through marketplaces.
2.3 You agree that this Policy takes precedence over any conflicting terms, conditions or warranties you may seek to impose.


3. NO CANCELLATION, NO RETURN, NO REFUND

3.1 ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Subject to Section 4 (Exceptions), you acknowledge and agree that:

3.1.1 Once an Order is placed and payment authorized, it is irrevocable and may not be cancelled.

3.1.2 You shall have no right to return any Product for any reason.

3.1.3 You shall have no right to claim a refund, credit, chargeback, or any other repayment.

3.1.4 You shall have no right to exchange the Product for any other item.

3.2 You are responsible for ensuring the suitability of Products (size, color, specifications) before placing an Order.


4. EXCEPTIONS — STRICT & LIMITED

4.1 Exception Scope: Only in the extremely narrow event of a material Defect or Wrong Product shipped may you submit a Claim under this Section.
4.2 Submission Requirements: To be considered, a Claim must be:

4.2.1 Submitted in writing via email to contact@osiforlibrary.com within 30 minutes of delivery.

4.2.2 Accompanied by a full, unedited continuous video of unboxing, showing intact packaging seal.

4.2.3 Accompanied by high-resolution photographs of the alleged Defect or wrong item.

4.2.4 Accompanied by the original purchase invoice, shipping label, and proof of identity.
4.3 Inspection & Verification:

4.3.1 We shall conduct a thorough internal inspection, which may include independent third-party evaluation.

4.3.2 We reserve the right to request return of the Product at your expense for in-person inspection.

4.3.3 If we, in our sole discretion, determine the Claim to be valid:

(a) We may offer replacement of the identical Product; or

(b) We may provide store credit equal to the original purchase price.

4.3.4 Cash or original-method refunds are strictly prohibited under all circumstances.

4.4 Claim Denial: Any Claim failing to satisfy the above requirements will be summarily denied, and you will have no recourse.


5. NON-ELIGIBLE ITEMS

Without limitation, the following are non-eligible for any Claim:

Customized, made-to-order, or personalized Products.

Sale, clearance, or promotional items.

Gift cards, digital downloads, or software licenses.


6. SHIPPING & COSTS

6.1 Shipping Charges: All shipping fees, duties, taxes, and handling charges are non-refundable.
6.2 Return Shipping: If a Claim is approved under Section 4, you bear full responsibility for return shipping costs.
6.3 Risk of Loss: Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery confirmation by the carrier.


7. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

Provide complete and accurate shipping and contact information.

Be physically present to accept delivery or arrange for secure drop-off.

Inspect Products immediately upon receipt.

Preserve all packaging materials until the Claim process is complete.

Failure to comply with any of these obligations voids your rights under this Policy.


8. REFUND PROCESS (IF APPLICABLE)

8.1 Refund Issuance: Strictly limited to approved Claims under Section 4.
8.2 Timeline: Refunds (store credit) issued within 30 Business Days of Claim approval.
8.3 Bank Processing: Additional 10–21 Business Days may apply for bank posting.
8.4 No Retroactive Claims: Claims submitted after the 48-hour window are barred in perpetuity.


9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

9.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, our aggregate liability for any Claim shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid for the affected Product.
9.2 We shall under no circumstances be liable for:

Consequential, indirect, punitive, or special damages.

Lost profits, revenue, or business interruption.

Any claims for personal injury or property damage.

9.3 This Section survives termination of this Policy.


10. FORCE MAJEURE

10.1 Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, governmental actions, or pandemics.
10.2 The affected party shall notify the other in writing within 5 Business Days of the Force Majeure Event’s commencement.
10.3 Obligations suspended during such Force Majeure Event shall resume within 10 Business Days after its cessation.


11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW

11.1 Governing Law: This Policy and any Dispute shall be governed by the laws of Rajasthan, India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11.2 Jurisdiction: Exclusive venue and jurisdiction shall lie in the courts of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
11.3 Arbitration: All Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
11.4 Attorney’s Fees: The prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.


12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Policy is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be Severable, and the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.


13. NO WAIVER

No failure or delay by us in exercising any right under this Policy shall constitute a waiver of that right.


14. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Policy constitutes the entire agreement between you and Online School India regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations, superseding all prior communications and agreements.


15. AMENDMENTS

We reserve the right to amend this Policy at any time. Revised versions will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued purchase after such posting constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
